Snow on the Berg.

We had rain again yesterday, lots of rain, (I'm thinking of moving somewhere drier, like British Columbia, or one of the NW Pacific coastal states of the US, like Washington state) with it came a sudden drop in temperature. Woke up this morning and it was freezing.

Went to school to do some work in the library, and we have a lovely view of parts of the Berg, (not called Drakensview school for nothing) and I snapped these photos.

Snow in April, and it's still snowing in parts of the Northern hemisphere! Must be this global warming thing. View of Giants Castle with a light dusting of snow.

View of the Berg just a bit north of Giants Castle, slightly more snow. Our first snows usually only fall towards the end of May, so this is very early. Because of all the rain we've had people have been predicting a very cold winter this year. Who knows maybe they are right.

Guess we never know about the weather until it's over!

If you want to move to the Pacific NW, to get out of the rain, you've had a LOT of rain. We went from 80 yesterday (in the valley) to 60 today and rain, lots of rain. What we haven't had this year is cold storms. Our snow pack is minimal.

Eish, that's very early. I must make sure Emily puts the doggies' pyjamas on at night. We're drowning here in Tz with all the rain but not cold at all. Wrap up warm and add a few dogs to your bed! Love and blessings, Jo

British Columbia or Washington State would be lucky to have you, Phillip. You could get out of the rain by living inland, and sticking to fishing the lakes and streams but not the ocean.
Meanwhile, we had snow again last night here on the prairie. There are still a few bits of it on the north side of the house, but it all melted off my car.
Funny that we should both have snow at opposite ends of the world (not counting the Arctic and the Antarctic).
